Tina Tate – Founder & CEO
Tina Tate has over 15 years of experience providing home care services for families. She began her career providing home care for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services in 2000. She continued serving the department by providing Emergency Shelter Care services for female teens ages 18-21 in 2006. Ultimately, Tina transitioned into providing assisted living services for Adults with developmental and physical disabilities in 2013.
Tina has a Baccalaureate Degree in Human Services from California State University Dominguez Hills. Her Credentials include a licensed Administrative Certification and DSP I & II certified.

John Tate – Co-founder & COO
John began his career in the helping field by serving the youth in underprivileged communities as a sports coach in 1998. In 2003, he joined a team of youth specialist mentoring teen females with Scruggs Emergency Shelter Care. He later co-founded Family Hands Adult Residential Care in 2013.
John has served as the Chief Operations Officer for Family Hands since 2013. Overseeing the day to day operations of the facility, John interfaces with the families, Psychiatrist, medical professionals, and regional centers to support activities of daily living and care for our residents. He also takes pride in providing direct care support to our residents. He is a California State certified Administrator, a certified parenting instructor with Breakthrough Parenting curriculum, and certified in Crisis Protection Intervention (CPI).

Phillicia Cockrell, MSN, RN-BC
Phillicia began as a Direct Service Provider to developmentally delayed children in 1996, with a passion for caring for people. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Health Science from California State University Dominquez Hills in 1997. For 15 years, she has worked for U.C.L.A in psychiatry as a registered nurse. In 2016, she obtained her Masters in Nursing and became board certified in mental health.
Phillicia has worked for Family Hands since 2015 as the registered nurse and is available 24 hours a day to the clients and the staff. She conducts teaching verbally and by hands on training routinely.
